Following consultations with parents, staff and children the Governors have decided that, from September 2003, all children should wear school uniform, as detailed below.
The majority of parents (and ALL governors) were strongly in favour of such a move and, in taking account. of some of the sensible suggestions made. about footwear and type of trousers etc., the governors feel that the policy is flexible enough to satisfy everyone.
Pupils will be expected to wear
- Jade sweatshirts or cardigans with school logo
- Polo shirt in white, black or jade (can be without logo if worn under the sweatshirt)
- Plain black or dark grey trousers, skirts, pinafore dresses. (Plain dark jeans are also acceptable)
- Footwear should be mainly black
- Socks/tights should be white, black, grey or jade.
(Black fleeces bearing the school logo are also available but are not compulsory).
Alternative wear for Summer
- Green/Jade checked or plain dresses
- Black, grey shorts (not cycling shorts)
Pupils will NOT be allowed to wear
- Trousers with pop fasteners on the side
- Football kit (except for playing football!)
- Jewellery (except a watch and one pair of studs - which must be removed for PE and swimming)
If you would like further clarification of the terms of this policy please contact the school.
